GRAEME VAN DER MEER

Hailing from South Africa, Graeme trained at the University of Stellenbosch, obtaining his MBChB degree in 2002. He obtained his MMed / Specialist ENT qualification cum laude at the same institution in 2010. From 2014 – 2016 he pursued a paediatric ENT fellowship at Starship Children’s Health. He has published multiple scientific articles in international peer reviewed journals and is the author of a number of book chapters on paediatric ENT. He is an invited reviewer for international journals including the International Journal of Paediatric Otolaryngology. Graeme is a consultant ENT surgeon at Starship Hospital, with special interests in paediatric airway compromise, sleep disordered breathing, sinus disease and congenital neck disorders.

COLIN BARBER

One of the founding fathers of paediatric ENT in New Zealand, Colin trained at the University of Auckland and then pursued a fellowship in paediatric ENT in Washington, USA. With more than 30 years of clinical practice, Colin has become well known in the international ENT community as a leader in his field of paediatric airway reconstruction. He has contributed to many International Journal publications and regularly presents at world-class ENT meetings. As a former departmental clinical director, Colin was pivotal in establishing Starship Children’s hospital as a specialist entity focusing on children’s health.
